Accessibility

Our target

Green Home Rights is built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. The site is designed so that:

• All substantive content — answers, sources, dates, and navigation — works without JavaScript.
• Keyboard users can reach every control, with visible focus indicators.
• Headings follow a logical order and pages use semantic landmarks (header, main, footer).
• Text can be zoomed to 200 percent without loss of content or function.
• Color is never the only way information is conveyed; status is also stated in text.
• Tables (source tables, coverage matrices) have captions and remain readable on small screens.
• Touch targets are of practical size and there is no horizontal overflow at common widths.
• Motion is minimized and reduced-motion preferences are respected.
• Forms have labels, clear errors, and accessible validation.
• Print views preserve headings, sources, and dates.

How we check

The site runs automated accessibility checks on every build, plus keyboard-only navigation and
screen-reader spot checks before each release. Checks cover contrast, focus order, form errors,
zoom, reduced motion, and the no-JavaScript fallbacks.

Known limitations

If you encounter a page or control that does not work with your assistive technology, please
report it. The site will fix material accessibility problems in the same release cycle as other
material corrections.

Reporting a problem

Use the contact page or the corrections page and describe the page,
the assistive technology you use, and what did not work. Reports are handled under the same
correction policy as factual errors.
